With a BS in Human Nutrition and Food Service from Colorado State University, Bridget served as the Buffalo Public Schools (BPS) Food Service Director--an illustrious career spanning over three decades. During her tenure at BPS, Bridget led the development of the Buffalo Farm to School initiative, a nationally lauded program whose mission is to bring healthy, local, and fresh food to schools in Buffalo. The initiative connects schools, farms, and community partners to improve student nutrition through agriculture, health, and nutrition education. As the Buffalo Farm Shares Coordinator for Harvest NY, Bridget will be working closely with BPS, with the goal of providing fresh, local, and healthy food to the Buffalo community.

On October 23, we'll return to Erik Schellenberg's farm, Black Creek Farm and Nursery, for a Fall tour of their agroforestry plantings. Erik will talk about harvesting and managing plantings while we see some seasonal crops and installations of different ages and types.
