August 14, 2025This hands-on workshop led by Karen Guzman, Harvest NY Urban Garden Specialist, digs into the power of cover crops for farms and home gardens. Whether you're working an urban plot, backyard bed, or community garden, you'll learn how to use these mighty plants to restore soil health, add nutrients naturally, control erosion, and prep for a thriving next season.
Come get your hands dirty, meet fellow growers, and leave with tips you can implement right away!

Join us for a series of workshops co-hosted by CCE Ulster, Orange, and Harvest NY with Mastwood Farms, Black Creek Farm and Nursery and Scenic Hudson. On October 23, we'll return to Erik Schellenberg's farm, Black Creek Farm and Nursery, for a Fall tour of their agroforestry plantings. Erik will talk about harvesting and managing plantings while we see some seasonal crops and installations of different ages and types.
